Director - Brian Hoffman
Brian Hoffman's musical career began at age 11, when he became a professional church organist in his home town of Oneonta, NY.  In the 30 plus years since he began his musical journey, he has become an accomplished Church Organist, Choir Director, Concert Organist, Composer, Recording Artist and Director of Children & Adult Music Programs.  "It all began from the time I was very young and got involved with music programs similar to St. Paul's School of Music & Art..  The knowledge and support I gained from being involved in these types of programs led me to the career I now have in music".
Mr. Hoffman is Organist & Choirmaster at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Troy, NY., where he is also the Director of "St. Pauls School of Music & Art".
As a concert artist, Mr. Hoffman has performed hundreds of concerts throughout the United States, and is currently in the midst of a concert tour where he is performing 24 recitals on the complete Preludes & Fugues of J.S. Bach.
As a composer, he has written numerous works for choir, organ and various instrumental ensembles.
As a recording artist, he has recorded the organ works of Cesar Franck, and is currently recording
the complete Preludes & Fugues of J.S. Bach.
Brian lives in the Helderberg Mountains with his wife Amy.

                                        Music Assistants
The music school has several music assistants who assist Mr. Hoffman with certain musical aspects of the
program, including note-learning classes, small group rehearsals and extra accompanying/conducting as
needed.  The Music Assistants undergo a monthly training session with Mr. Hoffman to keep in conjunction                            If you would like to become
with the school's lesson plans.  Several of the Music Assistants are professional musicians themselves, either                           an Assistant in the program,

                                        Art & Dance Instructors
The school regularly brings in artists, both professional and avocational, from around the region to give
in-depth presentations and classes in the fields of visual art (drawing, painting, craft-work, photography) and
dance, both traditional folk dance and modern creative dance.  

                                           Dinner Assistants

The Dinner Assistants at St. Paul's Music School prepare the Thursday dinner each week between lessons.
Many enthusiastic volunteers from both the community and St. Paul's Church have stepped up to assist with
this important aspect of the program.

                                        Performance Assistants
Another vital part of the program is getting the children ready for their performances.  Performance Assistants
gather the children and instruct them on the procedures of the performances.
